The Grand Series
Glenfiddich was founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside, and is still owned by his family's company, William Grant & Sons. Grand Yozakura joined the Grand Series in 2023. Yozakura means cherry blossoms viewed at night.
The whisky
After 29 years in American and European oak, the whisky spent its last six months in oak casks that previously held Awamori, Japan's oldest distilled spirit, made in Okinawa from rice. Glenfiddich say it was the first single malt Scotch to be finished in Awamori casks.
How to enjoy it
Pour it neat and give it time in the glass. A drop of water softens the 45.1% strength and lifts the citrus and green apple notes. Delicate foods or nothing at all suit it best.

How is the presentation designed?
The bottle has a stopper engraved with a hanko stamp and a fabric capsule with a sakura poem, and sits in a rotating box decorated with cherry blossom and an illustration by Japanese artist June.
