Carruades de Lafite 2010 – 75cl

The start of the wine-growing year was marked by a cold and relatively wet winter, which led to a slightly later budburst than in 2009, around mid-April. The dry and sunny weather of April was then particularly favorable for the development of the vine.
May and June were characterized by an alternation between rainy episodes and sunny days. The beginning of June was marked by a wave of freshness which complicated the flowering of the Merlots, leading to coulure and millerandage.

Fortunately, the month of July was very dry (rainfall less than 20 mm) with relatively high temperatures which made it possible to make up for the delay in flowering.

The months of August and September, very dry and with good daytime temperatures and cool nights, perfected the slow and complete ripening of the grapes.
