A red wine from Burgundy, France. Purely made with Pinot Noir grapes. Clive Coates MW claims that Malconsorts, along with Cros Parantoux and very few others, are the best premier crus of Vosne Romanee. Allen Meadows says, If there is a Vonsne Romanee premier cru that is underated, it is Aux Malconsorts.
TASTING NOTES
Very intense nose. Good mixed of secondary and tertiary favours. Peppery, sweet fruits giving a terrific core to the wine. Nearing maturity but still retaining so much freshness and vitality. Perfect structure and a wonderful silky mouthfeel that is signature of a very good Burgundy.
