The Balvenie 16 Year Old French Oak is a Speyside single malt initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in French oak Pineau des Charentes casks. Pineau des Charentes is a French fortified wine made by blending unfermented grape juice with Cognac — the cask finish brings floral, fruity elegance to the long-aged Balvenie spirit.
Founded in 1892, family-owned. Bottled at 47.6% ABV, non-chill-filtered.

NOSE
Aromatic and refined — honey, vanilla, ripe orchard fruit, gentle floral notes, soft baking spice, and warm toasted oak — distinctive and beautifully composed.
PALATE
Smooth and well-textured — honeyed orchard fruit, vanilla cream, soft caramel, gentle citrus, dried apricot, and integrated French oak — silky and harmoniously balanced.
FINISH
Long and elegantly composed — lingering orchard fruit, vanilla, soft oak, and a gentle floral warmth fading slowly — refined and beautifully composed.
