Balblair 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 70cl
From one of Scotland's oldest and most characterful Highland distilleries — Balblair was founded in 1790 in the village of Edderton in Easter Ross, making it one of the first licensed distilleries in the Highlands and the oldest still in operation in the north of Scotland. Part of Inver House Distillers since 1996, Balblair is known for its exceptionally clean, fruit-forward house style — a reflection of its unusually long fermentation times, its tall, elegant copper pot stills, and the exceptionally pure water of the nearby Allt Dearg stream. The 12 Year Old — introduced as part of the distillery's transition from vintage-dated releases to age statements in 2019 — is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, non-chill filtered, and with natural colour.
