Benromach 2012 Air Dried Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 70cl

Benromach distillery offers a limited series of bottlings to better understand the oak drying process before being transformed into casks by a cooperage and its influence on the taste profile of whisky. This Air-dried Oak version was matured in a batch of oak casks dried for 36 months in the open air, the classic method used by the industry. The result is gentle aromas of vanilla caramel, toasted cereals, and citrus blossom. This is followed by sweet and peppery notes, with hints of fresh peppermint and oak. Subtle smoke lingers on the finish.
