TASTING NOTES
Colour : Aged gold with orange highlights.
Nose : Vibrant and resolute. Of absolute classicism, it conjures images of aged wood paneling, the richest Cuban cigars, and the most delicately powdered spices [saffron, ginger, cinnamon]. It evolves to roasted peanuts, greengage plums, and rhubarb jam. The citrus notes it imparts are caramelized, as are the apricots. Yet, it retains an exquisite freshness.
Palate : Noble and refined. The same spices and powdery notes intermingle with dried exotic fruits [banana, pineapple, passion fruit], licorice, and heady flowers [violet, lilac, hyacinth]. Its bitterness brings forth a plethora of aromatic herbs [lemon verbena, chamomile, sage].
Finish : Long, substantial, almost carnal. Its Oriental character emerges [ylang-ylang], as do hints of balsamic vinegar. It then oscillates between wild dark fruits [blackberries, blueberries] and mint chocolate. The journey extends to pipe tobacco and an artichoke heart.
Profile : Noble and refined.
