Description
Colour: Old topaz gold.
Nose: Broad, deep. Intensely vanilla and herbaceous [tobacco, sugar cane], the first nose also reveals smoky [asphalt] and mineral [slate] notes. With aeration, the aromatic palette evolves towards a wide variety of fruits: exotic [banana, pineapple], white [pear, white peach], and dried [nuts, almond].
Palate: Clear, lively. Heady [dried flowers, lavender], the palate attack vigorously delivers flavors of sugar cane and cinnamon. Lemony, the mid-palate becomes even spicier [clove, nutmeg, green pepper], peppery [Cayenne], and delicately liqueur-like [sugar cane].
Finish: Long, robust. In perfect continuity with the palate, the start of the finish is refreshed by the presence of citrus fruits [lemon, grapefruit]. Finely licorice-flavored, the aftertaste is marked by pleasant lactose notes [almond, agave]. Velvety tannins gradually coat the taste buds.
