A city in a single malt
Released in April 2022, the New York edition of Distil Your World set Whisky Maker Polly Logan and Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca the task of capturing the city. They drew on conversations with New Yorkers including Wynton Marsalis and the artist Lady Pink.
The whisky
The whisky is a marriage of six European and American oak casks, bottled at 49.5% ABV. Its notes play on the 'Big Apple': baked apple, nuts, chocolate and maple.
Serving
Serve neat to start, then add a few drops of water to bring out the maple and toasted waffle notes.
