Edradour was founded in 1825 in the valley above Pitlochry in Perthshire, and has changed remarkably little in the nearly two centuries since: still hand-crafted by a tiny team of just three people, still using some of the smallest stills permitted under Scotch whisky law, and still producing the same richly sherried, characterful Highland single malt that has made it a favourite among enthusiasts who value genuineness and craft over scale. Owned since 2002 by Andrew Symington's Signatory Vintage, Edradour has flourished as an independent distillery dedicated to quality at every stage. The 10 Year Old is the flagship expression — matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon casks, and presented with natural colour.
