The distillery's house style is defined by its uniquely tall, slender copper pot stills fitted with purifiers designed by James "The Major" Grant in the 19th century — the only distillery in Scotland to use purifiers on both wash and spirit stills — which cause a portion of evaporating vapours to be returned and redistilled, producing a signature spirit of exceptional lightness, purity, and fruit-forward elegance.
