Glenfiddich Grande Couronne 26 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured for at least 26 years and finished in rare French Cognac casks. The Cognac-cask finish brings the floral elegance and dried-fruit depth of fine French brandy to the long-aged Glenfiddich spirit.
Family-owned since 1887. Bottled at 43.8% ABV to carry the Cognac-cask layering. Part of the Grande Series of celebratory cask-finished single malts.
A deeply elegant sipping single malt — best enjoyed neat in a snifter to fully read the Cognac-cask influence.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Opulent and complex — caramelised dried fruit, ripe pear, vanilla, dark caramel, soft floral notes, gentle oak, and a touch of polished leather — luxurious and beautifully matured.
PALATE
Velvety and rich — honeyed dried fruit, vanilla cream, dark toffee, soft caramel, dried apricot, gentle leather, and the floral elegance of Cognac casks — silky, layered, and beautifully integrated.
FINISH
Exceptionally long — lingering dried fruit, vanilla, soft oak, and a gentle Cognac-cask warmth fading slowly — refined, contemplative, and beautifully composed.
