The Grand Series
Glenfiddich was founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside, and is still owned by his family's company, William Grant & Sons. Grand Château followed Grand Yozakura into the Grand Series in September 2024.
The whisky
The whisky matured for around 22 years in American oak before around nine years of secondary maturation in Bordeaux red wine casks. The long time in wine casks gives a reddish hue and a profile of cassis, cherry and warm spice.
How to enjoy it
Serve it neat in a tulip glass and allow it to rest. At 47.6% a few drops of water help open the fruit and floral notes.

Opulent and complex — dark berry, ripe plum, vanilla, dark caramel, dried fig, gentle leather, and polished oak — luxurious and beautifully matured.
PALATE
Velvety and rich — dark stewed fruit, caramelised raisin, vanilla cream, dark toffee, gentle tannin, leather, and a wash of red-wine warmth — silky, layered, and harmoniously balanced.
FINISH
Exceptionally long — lingering dark fruit, vanilla, soft oak, gentle tannin, and a slow warming wine-cask depth fading gracefully — refined and contemplative.
