TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Sparkling and surprisingly vibrant for its age with fresh summer fruit, citrus, green apple, and cantaloupe at the fore, layered with sweet vanilla, a beautiful aged Cognac note, waxed fruit, pineapple juice, and a delicate dusty bookshelf quality that speaks eloquently to decades of quiet maturation in G&M's Elgin warehouses.
PALATE
Fruity, sweet, and gently complex with red apple, sultanas, green apple, and a soft sherry character, underpinned by a light vegetal note, old seal wax, dry oak tannins, warming spice, and hints of honey β remarkable vitality and fruit-forward elegance for a whisky of such extraordinary age.
FINISH
Long, honeyed, and gently woody with a drying, tannic oak note, dried fruit, warming winter spice, and a subtle tang of aged oak β a finish of exceptional length and quiet, dignified character that lingers as a testament to over four decades of patient Speyside maturation.
