TASTING NOTES
COLOUR
Topaz.
NOSE
Fine, rich. On the first nose, candied ginger, dried apricot and vanilla aromas play the leading roles. Increasingly spicy (clove, black pepper, nutmeg) and heady (carnation, honeysuckle, dahlia), the aroma palette gradually takes on beautiful honeyed and herbaceous shades (camomile, sage, tarragon). Laid end to end, these notes form an especially harmonious ensemble.
PALATE
Lively, elegant. Very unlike the nose, the attack heads to the kingdom of citrus fruits (orange, lemon, mandarin) as cane sugar delicately coats the palate. The more candied mid-palate (ginger, persimmon) wavers between camphoric notes and the strong spices from the aroma palette. The rich end of the palate reveals marmalade flavours.
FINISH
Long, silky. The particularly silky finish is softly chocolatey and floral (bougainvillea). At the end of the finish, oily notes of pipe tobacco flood the depths of the taste buds. For its part, the retronasal olfaction highlights the quality of the perfectly integrated wood. The empty glass is exotic (banana), floral (iris), resinous (pine) and spicy (ginger).
