Jura 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 70cl

The Isle of Jura Distillery has been producing single malt since 1810 on one of Scotland's most remote and spectacular islands — home to just over 200 people and approximately 5,000 red deer, and accessible only by a single-track road and a small ferry from Islay. Jura's famously tall copper pot stills — among the tallest in Scotland — produce a characteristically light, elegant, and fruit-forward spirit that is the ideal canvas for the sherry and other cask finishes the distillery employs so effectively. The 12 Year Old Sherry Cask takes Jura's characteristic light, fruit-forward spirit and subjects it to sherry cask maturation — a combination that produces a considerably richer, darker, and more sumptuously flavoured expression than the standard bourbon-matured 12 Year Old. Dark fruit, chocolate, and warm spice replace the fresh citrus and vanilla of the standard expression, while Jura's characteristic elegance and lightness remain evident beneath the sherry richness.
