LDMW Linkwood 12 Year Old 2012 Artist Collective 7.0 - 70cl

$189.00 SGD $158.00 SGD

Founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, the distillery was destroyed and completely rebuilt by his son William in 1872.

In 1971, four stills were installed in a second adjacent distillery, named Linkwood B. The two stills of the old distillery, renamed Linkwood A, were permanently decommissioned in 1996. Fresh, elegant, smooth, matured… these are some adjectives that perfectly describe this magnificent version, which does not hesitate to take unusual paths to showcase its stunning natural charm.

The labels of the Artist Collective 7.0 range are illustrated by German visual artist Katrin Bremermann, whose works explore universal concepts of form, proportion, rhythm, and structure.

This new artistic collaboration was made possible with the help of the Beaux Arts Institute, a reference in innovative artistic partnerships.

The label of this Linkwood 2012 Aged 12 Years is illustrated by the artwork No. M1952 by Katrin Bremermann.

TASTING NOTES

Color: Golden yellow.

Nose: Both fresh and heady. Notes of candied lemon, acacia honey, fresh walnut, and a few grains of rice first outline a very nuanced aromatic palette. With aeration, scents of tarragon and infused herbs (sage, verbena) permeate the surrounding atmosphere.

Palate: Full-bodied, juicy. Taking up the entire aromatic profile of the nose, the flavor palette adds unexpected notes of cucumber and white fruits (pear, mirabelle plum). This dichotomy brings a lot of freshness and vibrancy to the finish.

Finish: Long, serene. Gently vanilla-flavored (flan), the beginning of the finish adds a floral dimension (lily of the valley, white lilac) and enhances the indulgent character (zucchini fritter) of this beautiful Linkwood. In the aftertaste, coconut milk spreads deliciously across the palate.
