Founded by Robert Greaves in 2014, Mhoba is South Africa's first pure pot-still rum distillery and has rapidly become a cult favourite among rum connoisseurs globally. The distillery grows its own sugarcane on-site and processes it within hours of harvest — a level of vertical integration almost unheard of in modern rum production.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Ample, expressive, evokes citrus (grapefruit, orange), but also spices, mountain honey, and wax.
PALATE
Dense, but well supported by the citric acidity and the underlying minerality. Nuts, dried flowers, roots: the palate is lively and remains dynamic at all times.
FINISH
Long, complex, slightly oxidative, on honey, wax, and straw.
