Michter's US*1 American Whiskey is a unique expression that doesn't fit the standard American whiskey categories — matured in used (rather than new) bourbon barrels, which produces a distinctly different flavour profile from straight bourbon.
Michter's traces its lineage to Pennsylvania's Bomberger's distillery, founded in the 1750s. The modern Michter's operates from Louisville and Springfield, Kentucky, with a focus on small-batch production and selective barrel aging.

NOSE
Aromatic and warmly composed — vanilla, soft caramel, ripe orchard fruit, gentle baking spice, soft honey, and warm toasted oak — distinctive and beautifully composed.
PALATE
Smooth and rounded — vanilla cream, soft caramel, honeyed orchard fruit, gentle baking spice, soft brown sugar, and integrated used-cask oak — silky and harmoniously balanced.
FINISH
Medium and warmly oaked — lingering vanilla, soft caramel, gentle baking spice, and a soft warmth fading evenly — distinctive and refined.
