Ocho 2024 Reposado – Tierras Negras - 50cl
The agaves for this bottling were harvested from Rancho Tierras Negras in the San Ignacio Cerro Gordo region of Jalisco. It was an area previously used for cattle grazing and this is the first planting and harvest of agaves from the Rancho. There are dark clay soils which is where it gets its name of “Black Earth/Tierras Negras”.
Roasted agave forward with notes of creme brûlée, plums and white pepper.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
After aging for several months, the reposado tequila offers notes of marzipan, stewed plums, spearmint, and eucalyptus. Caramelized pineapple and olive tapenade add a touch of indulgence.
PALATE
Rich and creamy with notes of chocolate, coffee, pineapple, green bell pepper, and mint.
FINISH
White pepper and cinnamon deliver a long and lingering finish.
