Ocho Tequila Blanco – 50cl
Produced slowly using traditional methods, Ocho is the first tequila to indicate the vintage and exact field of origin of the harvested agaves. Each batch comes from a different field or “Rancho” with its own regional characteristics. The La Estancia field is located in the municipality of San Diego de Alejandria, approximately 35 km northeast of the Los Alambiques distillery as the crow flies. The field spans nearly 8 hectares and has 34,620 agave plants, at an average altitude of 1,875 meters above sea level. The terrain is slightly hilly towards the south, not the characteristic red soil of the highlands of Jalisco, but gray with the presence of calcium-rich limestone and a good supply of organic matter. The agaves were planted in rows oriented from east to west; at the time of harvest, the plants reached their full maturity, with piñas weighing an average of 22 kg and a sugar content of 280-300g/kg, significantly higher than the industry average for tequila, which is 225g/kg.
