Old Monk Rum is an iconic vatted Indian dark rum, launched in 1954. It is blended and aged for a minimum of 7 years. It is a dark rum with a distinct vanilla flavour. It's one of the largest selling rums in the world, almost all thanks to word of mouth.

Description
Appearance: Deep mahogany or dark brown, with reddish hues. Viscous and rich in the glass.
Nose: Rich and inviting with strong notes of vanilla, molasses, and caramel. Hints of dark chocolate, dried fruits (raisins, prunes), and subtle spice (nutmeg, clove).
Palate: Smooth and sweet. Dominated by vanilla, followed by toffee, brown sugar, and a touch of oak. A light spice warmth develops mid-palate, with hints of cola, licorice, and baking spices.
Finish: Medium to long, with lingering notes of vanilla, molasses, and a gentle spice fade.
