Signatory Vintage Blair Athol 8 Year Old 2013 – 70cl
Founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson, the Blair Athol distillery is located in Pitlochry in the Highlands. It was originally named Aldour Distillery, in reference to the nearby Allt Adour river which supplies its production. This distillery is part of a range of bottles specifically selected by LMDW in the Cask Strength Collection, recognizable by their colored labels. The result of the blending of several barrels, this whisky is bottled without reduction, without coloring or cold filtration. It allows the fresh and fruity character of the distillery to express itself, with notes of fresh fruit (apple, pear), cocoa and sweet spices (black pepper and cinnamon).
This Single Malt was distilled in 2013 and aged for 8 years in Rechar Hogshead (reconstituted & re-burnt cask).
Aromatic profile: powerful, malty, on citrus, typical of Highland whiskeys.
Non chill-filtered, without colouring.
