Speyburn 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 70cl
Speyburn 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the picturesque Speyburn distillery, founded in 1897 and famously the first Speyside distillery to use steam coils for indirect heating. Matured for at least 10 years in a combination of American ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks at the distillery on the banks of the Spey.
The Speyburn distillery is celebrated for the natural mountain water of the Granty Burn, which feeds its production. The 10 Year Old is an accessible, fresh, fruit-forward Speyside expression at an excellent value.
An honest, accessible Speyside — bright, easy-drinking, and great value. Neat or as a base for premium whisky cocktails.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Fresh and lively — ripe orchard fruit, vanilla, soft honey, gentle floral notes, and a touch of toasted oak — clean and approachable.
PALATE
Smooth and balanced — sweet apple, pear, vanilla cream, soft honey, gentle citrus, and a touch of caramel — easy-drinking with a clean malt core.
FINISH
Medium and clean — lingering orchard fruit, vanilla, soft oak, and a gentle warmth fading evenly — bright and refreshing.
