Speyburn
Speyburn Distillery sits in a wooded valley near Rothes in Speyside and is owned by Inver House Distillers, trading as International Beverage.
The whisky
The 15 Year Old combines whisky from American oak bourbon casks, which bring vanilla, with Spanish oak sherry casks, which bring forest fruits. The result is amber with gold highlights and richer than the 10.
How to enjoy it
Speyburn describes it as a whisky for savouring. Serve it neat or with a drop of water, perhaps alongside dark chocolate.
