The Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood Single Malt Scotch Whisky β 70cl
The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood is the Speyside distillery's most celebrated expression β a single malt initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then transferred for a second maturation in Spanish oloroso sherry casks. The two-cask process gives the whisky two distinct stages of maturation, each contributing its own character.
Founded in 1892 by William Grant, The Balvenie is one of the few Scotch distilleries that still grows its own barley, malts on traditional floors, and employs in-house coopers and coppersmiths. Master Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE pioneered cask-finishing with this very expression.
An exceptional sipping single malt β neat or with a drop of water.
