The Balvenie 11 Year Old Hungarian Red Wine Cask is a Speyside single malt initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in casks that previously held red wine from Hungary. The wine-cask finish lends dark berry and tannin depth to the long-aged Balvenie spirit.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Aromatic and complex — dark berry, ripe plum, vanilla, honey, gentle baking spice, and warm toasted oak — distinctive and beautifully composed.
PALATE
Full and well-textured — dark stewed fruit, honeyed orchard fruit, vanilla cream, soft caramel, gentle tannin, and a wash of red-wine warmth — silky and harmoniously balanced.
FINISH
Long and elegantly fruited — lingering dark berry, vanilla, gentle oak, and a soft wine-cask warmth fading slowly — refined and beautifully composed.
