The Balvenie Portwood 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 70cl
The Balvenie 21 Year Old PortWood is a Speyside single malt matured for at least 21 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in 30-year-old port pipes selected by Master Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE. The combination of long maturation and port-cask finishing produces a deeply layered, fruit-driven single malt.
Founded in 1892, family-owned. PortWood was one of Stewart's earliest cask-finished expressions and remains a benchmark of the technique he pioneered.
A serious sipping single malt — neat in a snifter to fully appreciate the port-cask layering.
