Why 'old packaging'
In 2025 The Macallan introduced a new bottle and label design for its Sherry Oak and Double Cask collections. This bottle carries the presentation that came before it.
The whisky
Inside is the 12 Year Old Sherry Oak: matured in sherry-seasoned European oak from Jerez, with dried fruits, ginger and oak spice and a natural rich gold colour. Macallan stated the whisky itself is unchanged by the redesign.
How to enjoy it
Neat at room temperature, perhaps with a drop of water. Collectors often keep one bottle sealed and open another to drink.
