An annual release
The 18 Years Old is released in limited quantities each year as part of the Sherry Oak collection, alongside the 12, 25 and 30 Years Old.
The whisky
It matures for a minimum of 18 years on The Macallan Estate, predominantly in European oak casks seasoned with sherry in Jerez. The result is robust and full-bodied, with an entirely natural light mahogany colour.
How to enjoy it
Neat, with a drop of water if you like, to let the ginger and dried fruit unfold. Macallan also suggest it in a Rob Roy.
