Waterford Distillery, founded in 2015 by Mark Reynier (who previously revived Bruichladdich), is the most philosophically ambitious new Irish whiskey project in decades — applying wine-world concepts of terroir, provenance, and farm-to-glass traceability to Irish single malt whisky with unprecedented rigour. The Micro Cuvée Rue du Nil is part of the Antipodes series produced for La Maison du Whisky — a micro-batch cuvée expression created in partnership between Waterford and LMDW for the Asia Pacific market, drawing on the finest selected components of the Waterford cask inventory.
