Yamazaki 25 Year Old Single Malt Japanese Whisky – 70cl
Yamazaki 25 Year Old is a luxury Japanese single malt aged for at least 25 years in a combination of American oak, Spanish sherry, and the rare Japanese mizunara oak casks at Japan's oldest malt whisky distillery (1923). A quarter-century of patient maturation builds extraordinary depth on the brand's celebrated multi-cask programme. Bottled at 43% ABV.
Strictly limited and individually numbered. Yamazaki 25 has been celebrated by critics as one of the world's finest sipping single malts.
A definitive collector's Japanese single malt — best enjoyed neat in a copita.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Profoundly aromatic — caramelised dried fruit, ripe stewed fruit, honey, vanilla, dark caramel, mizunara incense, sandalwood, antique leather, dried fig, and polished oak — extraordinarily mature and beautifully composed.
PALATE
Velvety and concentrated — caramelised dried fruit, sherried red berry, honey, vanilla cream, dark toffee, leather, dark cocoa, mizunara spice, and integrated multi-cask oak — full-bodied with extraordinary depth that only a quarter-century can deliver.
FINISH
Exceptionally long — lingering dried fruit, honey, vanilla, mizunara incense, dark caramel, gentle leather, and a slow warming spice depth fading gracefully — refined, contemplative, and beautifully composed.
