A fusion of tradition and innovation Currach Whiskey celebrates one of the most venerable boats in the world. Using the finest of Irish malted barley, our single malt whiskey is triple distilled before being aged in ex-bourbon casks and is finished in unique Irish seaweed charred virgin oak casks. This limited edition of 1400 bottles is finished in seasoned sake casks. The Sake cask adds delicate hints of sweet rice and fruits to the briny, sweet maritime and green tea notes of the Atlantic Wakame seaweed casks. This is truly a take of two terroirs – an eclectic fusion of the craft and produce of the Emerald Isle and The Land of the Rising Sun.

Nose: A crisp fresh nose with orange citrus and floral fragrances, backed by resinous oak and bark notes, complemented by herbaceous moss aromas with a touch of iodine and seashore scents.
Palate: Golden caramel syrup on entry, gives way to spiced oak and subtle sea salts, before an explosion of fruits and botanical flavours, with sweet rice hints.
Finish: Briny yet sweet maritime nuances, with heather and liquorice undertones, give way to a floral green tea finish.
