Don Julio 1942 Tequila – 75cl
Don Julio 1942 is the brand's celebrated añejo tequila, named for the year founder Don Julio González began distilling. Aged a minimum of two and a half years in American white-oak barrels and presented in the instantly recognisable elongated bottle inspired by the agave plant itself.
Drawn from mature 100% Blue Weber agaves grown in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco and produced at NOM 1449, this is the tequila that helped define the modern luxury añejo category.
An icon of premium tequila — best enjoyed neat in a snifter to fully appreciate its layered, oak-rich complexity.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Opulent and complex — cooked agave wrapped in vanilla, dark caramel, roasted nuts, soft chocolate, dried fruit, and warm baking spice — sophisticated and beautifully matured.
PALATE
Velvety and rich — caramelised agave, vanilla cream, butterscotch, toasted almond, gentle dark chocolate, and warm oak — luxurious, layered, and harmoniously balanced.
FINISH
Exceptionally long — lingering caramel, vanilla, soft cocoa, gentle spice, and a warming agave-and-oak depth fading slowly — refined, luxurious, and unmistakably special.
