The Isle of Jura Distillery has been producing single malt since 1810 on one of Scotland's most remote and spectacular islands — home to just over 200 people and approximately 5,000 red deer, and accessible only by a single-track road and a small ferry from Islay. Jura's famously tall copper pot stills — among the tallest in Scotland — produce a characteristically light, elegant, and fruit-forward spirit that is the ideal canvas for the sherry and other cask finishes the distillery employs so effectively. Named after the extraordinary tidal forces that shape the waters around the Isle of Jura — including the fearsome Corryvreckan whirlpool — the 21 Year Old Tide is the most mature and most complex expression in the Jura core range. Twenty-one years in American white oak has allowed the distillery's characteristically light and fruit-forward spirit to develop a remarkably concentrated and complex tropical fruit and spice character that the taller stills and longer maturation together produce with great elegance.
