Ki One in Korean means the beginning and hope. These two themes perfectly encapsulate the first Korean single malt whisky. The Three Societies distillery is nestled in the Namyangju mountains, north-east of Seoul. In summer, the spirits are baked in the Korean sunshine and the heat allows the spirit to penetrate deep into the wood. In winter, the sunlight doesn’t rise above the Baekbong mountain, casting a long winter shadow over the spirits, allowing extreme cold to push into the cask, extracting an array of aromas
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Rich oak with a caramel crunch
Palate: Vanilla pods, banana and sultana, hints of peach and long, deep oriental spice
Finish: Long lingering spices give way to rich toffee and a forest of oak
ABV 40%
