TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Delicate and elegant — caramel, vanilla, crème brûlée, and toffee lead with apples, pears, malt sugars, raisins, chocolate, toasted marshmallow, and honeycomb — a little waxy with softly warming wood notes developing with time.
PALATE
Soft, warming, and lusciously fruity — vanilla sweetness, toffee apples, cocoa beans, aniseed, and rich juicy fruit lead into creamy butter, apricots, dark fruits, cinnamon, dark chocolate, and a touch of warming spice — noticeably more complex and structured than the younger expressions.
FINISH
Long and spiced — cinnamon, apricot, peppermint, and a gentle oaky warmth fading slowly — the most sustained finish in the Dufftown core range and a deeply satisfying close.
