Yamazaki 12 Year Old is the celebrated flagship of the Yamazaki distillery β Japan's oldest malt whisky distillery, founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1923. Aged for at least 12 years in a combination of American oak, Spanish sherry, and the rare Japanese mizunara oak casks. Bottled at 43% ABV.
Yamazaki 12 was the first Japanese single malt to win major international whisky awards in the early 2000s, bringing global recognition to Japanese whisky as a serious style.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Aromatic and complex β soft fruit, honey, vanilla, sherried dried fruit, soft red berry, gentle baking spice, gentle Japanese oak, and warm toasted oak β distinctive and beautifully composed.
PALATE
Full and rounded β honeyed orchard fruit, sherried dried fruit, vanilla cream, soft caramel, gentle red berry, gentle leather, soft mizunara spice, and integrated multi-cask oak β silky, layered, and harmoniously balanced.
FINISH
Long and warmly oaked β lingering honey, sherried dried fruit, vanilla, soft mizunara spice, and a sherried warmth fading slowly β distinctive and refined.
