Hazelburn 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 70cl
The most delicate and approachable expression in Springbank Distillery's celebrated three-label portfolio β and the one that most clearly reveals what Campbeltown spirit is capable of when the peat kiln is silenced and the stills run three times over. Hazelburn takes its name from one of Campbeltown's most storied lost distilleries, originally licensed in 1825 and once one of the largest in the region, revived in spirit by Springbank in 1997 when the Mitchell family introduced triple distillation to their centuries-old site for the first time. The result is a style quite unlike any other in Campbeltown: where Springbank is 2.5 times distilled and lightly peated, and Longrow is double distilled and heavily peated, Hazelburn uses all three stills with entirely unpeated, air-dried malt β producing a spirit of exceptional lightness, creaminess, and fruit-forward delicacy.
The 10 Year Old is the flagship expression of the range β matured for a full decade in ex-bourbon casks, non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour. Only around 10% of Springbank's annual production time is dedicated to Hazelburn, making every release a genuine rarity from one of Scotland's most principled and uncompromising family-owned distilleries.
