The Isle of Jura Distillery has been producing single malt since 1810 on one of Scotland's most remote and spectacular islands — home to just over 200 people and approximately 5,000 red deer, and accessible only by a single-track road and a small ferry from Islay. Jura's famously tall copper pot stills — among the tallest in Scotland — produce a characteristically light, elegant, and fruit-forward spirit that is the ideal canvas for the sherry and other cask finishes the distillery employs so effectively. A meaningful step up from the 12 Year Old Sherry Cask — fifteen years in quality sherry casks adding considerably greater depth, richness, and complexity to Jura's characteristic light, elegant spirit. The dark fruit is more concentrated, the chocolate darker, the spice warmer, and the whole carrying a satisfying aged character from fifteen years of patient island maturation.
