A marriage of over 100 different batches of malt and grain whisky, filled into oak casks for a further three to six months to marry before bottling at a forthright 51.4% ABV. Rich, oily, and packed with flavour — the compact rectangular bottle belies the extraordinary complexity within. Magnificent neat, with a drop of water, or over a single large ice cube.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Brown sugar, honey, dried plums, saffron, cut flowers, stone fruits, coffee, and old oak — layered, rich, and endlessly inviting.
PALATE
Full-bodied and oily — winter spices, oaky toffee, dark chocolate, orange peel, almonds, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves with a pleasingly smoky thread throughout.
FINISH
Long and warming — black pepper, forest fruits, cloves, and oaken spice lingering with a rich oiliness that stays well beyond the last sip.
