Nikka Yoichi 10 Years Japanese Whisky – 70cl
The first distillery of the Nikka house, Yoichi is located on the coast of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. Produced according to traditional methods, such as direct heating with charcoal fire, the malts perfectly display the authentic character of this exceptional place with their maritime and finely peaty notes. Beyond Yoichi Single Malt’s iconic smoky character, this 10-year-old version offers a beautiful maturity, roundness, and a delicate peat balanced by woody and herbaceous nuances.
TASTING NOTES
Colour : Bright Gold.
Nose : Fresh and herbaceous. Fruity notes soften the first nose. The peat is discreet, allowing the aromatic palette to fully express itself. With more aeration, pastry aromas emerge.
Palate : Smooth and lively. Pepper refreshes the palate, followed by custard that brings roundness, while the shy peat fades away.
Finish : Long and dry. Damp earth notes balance the woody flavors.
