Ardbeg Uigeadail Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 70cl
Ardbeg Uigeadail is a no-age-statement heavily peated Islay single malt — named after Loch Uigeadail, the source of Ardbeg's water. Matured in a combination of American ex-bourbon and Spanish oloroso sherry casks at the historic Ardbeg distillery on southern Islay. Bottled at 54.2% cask strength, non-chill-filtered.
Founded in 1815. Uigeadail is celebrated for marrying Ardbeg's signature smoke with the rich dried-fruit depth of oloroso sherry casks. ABV may vary slightly by batch.
A serious cask-strength peated Islay malt — neat or with a drop of water.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Bold and aromatic — intense peat smoke, sherried dried fruit, vanilla, dark caramel, leather, gentle baking spice, and warm toasted oak — concentrated and beautifully composed.
PALATE
Full-bodied and rich — sweet smoke, caramelised dried fruit, vanilla cream, dark toffee, gentle pepper, leather, and integrated sherry oak — bold, layered, and harmoniously balanced at full strength.
FINISH
Exceptionally long and smoky — lingering peat, dried fruit, dark caramel, sherried oak, and a gentle peppery warmth fading slowly — refined and beautifully composed.
