Caol Ila 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky β 70cl
From the largest distillery on Islay and one of Scotch whisky's most important contributors to the global blending industry. Caol Ila ("Sound of Islay" in Gaelic) has been producing peated single malt on the steep hillside above the Sound of Islay near Port Askaig since 1846. While the vast majority of Caol Ila's considerable production has historically gone into the blending vats of Johnnie Walker and other major Diageo blends, the 12 Year Old offers the distillery's own distinctive single malt character: a lighter style of Islay peat than the southern shore distilleries, with characteristic green fruit, lemon, and gentle medicinal notes alongside the smoke. Matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 43% ABV with natural colour. An excellent and underrated peated Islay single malt available to buy online in Singapore.
