Chichibu Distillery II - 70cl

Chichibu Distillery II is a single malt Japanese whisky from Ichiro’s second Chichibu distillery in Saitama, Japan, made from 100% malted barley with a touch of peat and bottled at about 55.5% ABV.

Profile:

Delicately sweet and elegant, with floral honey, gently smoked pineapple and soft, comforting spices.

Colour:

A clear, bright golden hue that catches the light.

Nose:

Aromas of rich honey, light peat and creamy vanilla, layered with pineapple candy, ripe pear and caramelised sugar.

Palate:

Silky and warming on the tongue, showing floral honey, grilled pineapple, baked apple tart and smooth pastry cream, lifted by hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Finish:

Persistently smooth and refined, with delicate smoke, a deep malty note and a harmonious, lingering structure.
